idea-radar ยท last updated November 5, 2026

idea-radar is a private research tool operated by Tiago Fischer for his own use. This page explains what data it handles when it connects to third-party services, such as the Google Ads API.

Who can use it

Only its author. There is no sign-up, no user account and no public interface, so idea-radar does not collect personal data from visitors or from anyone else.

Google account data

idea-radar signs in with its author's own Google account, through OAuth, only to call the Google Ads API in read-only mode (the Keyword Planner). With that access it reads search volume and keyword ideas for the terms it is studying. It does not read, create or change campaigns, billing, contacts or any other account data, and it does not access any other person's Google account.

The OAuth token is stored encrypted on the author's own server and is never shared. Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Data from other services

Keyword volumes, search interest, product listings, prices and review counts gathered from public sources and marketplace APIs are stored on the author's server and used only to score business ideas. They are not sold, shared, republished or used for advertising. Names or other personal data of sellers, reviewers or posters are not collected.

Retention

The numbers are kept while the research is useful, to compare how demand changes over time. They can be deleted at any time by the author.

Changes and contact
